Sony has made it perfectly clear that the Xperia Z1 isn't going anywhere in 2014, but a new report from @evleaks suggests the Japanese tech titan may have another flagship up its sleeve.
The latest news from the trusted mobile leaker—who just yesterday accurately predicted Samsung's new tablets and Sony's Xperia Z1s on T-Mobile—suggests we could see a new handset codenamed the Sony Sirius unveiled next month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
It sounds like the Xperia Z1 successor will be slightly larger than its 5-inch predecessor, but may pack the same Snapdragon 800 processor found in Sony's current flagship handset. That's all the info @evleaks is offering up for now, though if we had to guess we'd say the device will feature all the latest specs and run Android 4.4 out of the box.
Our friend @evleaks had a second bit of news on the Sony front this morning, predicting the company will unveil a new tablet codenamed the Sony Castor to succeed the Xperia Tablet Z, which was first unveiled in February 2013. The upcoming Android slate will feature a Snapdragon 800 and come in 4G and Wi-Fi variants. There's no word on when this device will be announced, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it unveiled next month at MWC alongside the rumored Sony Sirius.
