Google recently published the latest factory images for its Nexus devices, including the  Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus Player, Nexus 9 LTE, Nexus 9 Wi-Fi, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 LKTE and Nexus 7 Wi-Fi. The recent releases include all of the security patches that Google is making for November, which means it’s making good on its promise to release monthly updates to help keep Android devices within its control as secure as possible.

You’re not going to boot up your phone or tablet and find new features. Instead, this is the kind of patch that should, theoretically, prevent flaws like Stagefright from being major problems for consumers. Most folks probably aren’t going to jump out of their chairs at the chance to install the latest images, but you should probably at least make sure you download them when you get the over-the-air notice.
