Google Nexus 7 Android Guy

Google is largely expected to unveil its next generation Nexus 7 tablet during its developer conference in May, and a report from Reuters on Wednesday suggests the device will be available to consumers in July. That differs from earlier reports that the tablet will launch in May. Google's original Nexus 7 was powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, but the new tablet will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip instead.

Asus will build the new tablet, which will have a higher resolution display Reuters said. Google also hopes to ship 8 million units during the second half of 2013, a large boost from the 4.6 million units that shipped during the second half of 2012.

Pricing for the new tablet is still being decided, and Reuters said Google is currently flip flopping between a $149 and a $199 price point.
