Some things never really change, do they? Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number looks like it’ll keep the same brutality that made the original Hotline Miami so good and hard to get through.
Devolver Digital and developer Dennaton have released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Hotline Miami sequel. It’s intense, and it features the exceptional music we’ve come to expect from this soon-to-be-series.
Now, those eagle-eyed fans among us might notice a few shots of two player-controlled characters rolling through the top-down killing mazes. Please note, that is not a cooperative play announcement. Here’s the official Hotline Miami Twitter account clearing up confusion.
Two characters controlled as one in Hotline Miami 2, not co-op. At least, not co-op yet.
The trailer also released with a small batch of screenshots. Here they are.
We have an appointment scheduled with Dennaton and Devolver this weekend at PAX East up in Boston. I’ll personally be going hands-on with Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number at the show. I’m hoping for headphones.
Stay tuned for our thoughts in the coming days. Until then, get ready for Hotline Miami 2 on the PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita platforms. It’s set to release later this year.
