Samsung Galaxy Note 4-8

Samsung on Monday announced what it says is the world's first LTE-Advanced tri-band carrier aggregation smartphone, delivering an even faster version of the original Galaxy Note 4 that launched earlier this year. The device is capable of downloading at speeds up to 300Mbps, provided that it's operating on a wireless network that provides that kind of capacity. The company said that four times faster than a typical 4G LTE network.

Samsung said the new Galaxy Note 4 supports Cat 6. LTE and can operate on three different frequency bands (3xCA 20/20/20MHz or 40MHz, Samsung explained) while aggregating them"into a single connection," that's capable of downloading a 700MB file in 19 seconds. The firm also noted that the phone is also capable of operating on LTE-Advanced Category 9 networks where it will operate with downloads up to 450Mbps, though consumers will need to wait for those networks to launch sometime later in 2015. Samsung plans to show off how the phone will work during the Mobile World Congress trade show in March.

All of the other hardware features, including the large 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440-pixel display, 16-megapixel camera and more remain intact, though according to Anandtech, this model is equipped with a faster Snapdragon 810 processor and the appropriate modems to support the faster data networks. Samsung didn't provide launch details and said that the availability of the service for each phone will depend on the countries that offer those LTE networks.
