We haven’t seen Captain America in his own movie—The Avengers doesn’t count—since 2011, but it appears that long interval of silence will pay off in a huge way. The second trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was shown off during Super Bowl XLVIII, and it ramps up the drama considerably. If you had any doubts about the next big comic book movie delivering on its potential, this trailer should put those concerns to rest. The action, as you’d expect in a Hollywood blockbuster, is over-the-top and looks absolutely amazing.

In addition to getting more looks at the Winter Soldier, the second trailer dedicates plenty of airtime to Falcon, who has some pretty impressive kit. The events in Winter Soldier take place two years after the events of The Avengers, and focus, among other things, on Steve Rogers’s (Captain America) life in modern day society. There are also lots of big planes blowing up, and plenty of CGI-heavy sequences—not that we’re complaining, because the movie already looks incredible.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be out April 4, 2014, and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Redford and Samuel L. Jackson.
