Your streaming binges are about to get a bit more expensive at Netflix.

Netflix announced on Thursday that two of its subscription plans are increasing in price. The Standard Plan, which includes HD and 2 screens at a time, is going to increase from $9.99 a month to $10.99. The Premium Plan, which includes 4K access, will be jumping from $11.99 to $13.99.

The Basic Plan will remain $7.99.

New subscribers will see the price increase immediately. Current customers will be notified beginning on Oct. 19 and will see the new price reflected on their next bill.

While the price increase is sure to cause some dissension amongst subscribers, it was somewhat expected to happen at some point. With Netflix looking to spend up to $7 billion over the next year on original content. The funds for that have to come from somewhere.

With Stranger Things 2 arriving on Netflix this month, we suspect that will soften the blow a bit for some users.
