Netflix has never been one to announce its ratings. No one knows exactly how many people watch any given show on the service, but now we at least know which shows people are most eager to watch.

This week Netflix announced the top 20 ‘binge raced’ series it has released. This is defined as seasons that people consume within a 24-hour window. And we have to say, the list doesn’t quite shake out as you might expect.

1. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
2. Fuller House
3. The Ranch
4. Marvel’s The Defenders
5. The Seven Deadly Sins
6. Trailer Park Boys
7. Santa Clarita Diet
8. F is for Family
9. Orange is the New Black
10. Stranger Things
11. Friends from College
12. Grace and Frankie
13. Wet Hot American Summer
14. Atypical
15. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
16. House of Cards
17. Master of None
18. Luther
19. GLOW 20. Arrested Development

As a fan of Gilmore Girls, I have to admit I watched all of “A Year in the Life” the day it came out despite it corresponding to my first day of vacation. This also gives some credence to the rumors that Netflix is eager to get the show together for another go around at some point.

As you can see the list tends to favor half-hour comedies, and that makes sense due to how much time they require. Binging 13 one-hour episodes would be a bit more difficult in a 24-hour window.

Netflix revealed that around 8.9M of its 109M subscribers are into the binge racing habit, and it also revealed the countries that engage in it the most:

  1. Canada
  2. United States
  3. Denmark
  4. Finland
  5. Norway
  6. Germany
  7. Mexico
  8. Australia
  9. Sweden
  10. Brazil

Netflix is expected to spend in the neighborhood of $8 billion on original programming in 2018, so be prepared for a whole lot more binge racing in your future.
