The new Need for Speed’s core idea is that there are five different ways to play. In the newest video for the game, we get a look at just what that means.
The modes are Speed, Style, Build, Crew and Outlaw. Speed has events like sprint races and time attacks. Style, as you might guess, includes drifting, but also jumping. Build is all about vehicle customization, both above and beneath the hood. Crew asks you to do perform style events as part of a group, performing group drifts and things like that. Outlaw, of course, is all about the cops.
What’s interesting, though, is that these aren’t all mutually exclusive. There are events for each, but you can earn credit in all five at once by, as the video says, doing a high-speed group drift in a customized ride while the cops chase you.
And of course, the game still looks ridiculously good.
This looks like it could be a cool new approach to the Need for Speed license and I’m looking forward to checking it out.
Need for Speed hits PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 3.
