Naughty Dog's The Last of Us is an examination of the human condition disguised as a video game. In a post-apocalyptic world filled with ruthless survivors and zombie-like infected, what lengths are the characters willing to go to in order to survive? As we saw in the trailer from last month, quite a bit.

Developers of the PlayStation exclusive on Friday took the opportunity to show off a new character, and he can certainly be described as… careful. Known as Bill, the cutscene reveals that the husky new guy owes Joel a few favors, though it's unclear why.

After a quick scuffle, Joel and Bill hatch a plan, which then gives us a small indication as to what kind of missions players will undertake in The Last of Us. The game is slated to arrive in 2013, which definitely can't come soon enough.
