Queen Amidala

If you've been wondering who the last person in the world to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens is, it appears her name is Natalie Portman.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been setting box office records around the world, but there are some folks out there who have yet to see it. Natalie Portman, who played Padme Amidala in the prequel trilogy, revealed on Good Morning America on Wednesday that she is one of them.

"I haven't been able to see it yet, but I've heard it's amazing," said Portman who was on the morning show promoting her new film, Jane Got a Gun. "It's so nice that it's part of this continuing part of everyone's shared cultural knowledge."

There is certainly no law that says an actor must see every film in a series they were part of, and her tone seemed generally enthusiastic that the series has continued. You would think, though, that certainly someone could get a screener copy over to a former queen so she could see that her grandchild has developed a weird obsession with grandpa.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still playing in theaters around the world and has grossed $1.948 billion globally so far. Jane Got a Gun opens on Jan. 29.
