motomaker_x+1 leak

Motorola is expected to announce a sequel to the Moto X, presumably called the Moto X+1, sometime this summer. Last week we saw the device pop up in an online benchmark, and now it has surfaced on the company’s own Moto Maker website where it was spotted by German site mobiFlip.

Today’s leak doesn’t reveal anything new about the device beyond confirming the alleged name. It’s possible “Moto X+1” could be a placeholder while Motorola works on a better title, but its appearance on the company’s website has us thinking this could indeed be the final name. Clicking on the button, which reads “Moto X+1 Details,” leads back to the Motorola homepage.

The Moto X+1 is expected to offer a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 12-megapixel camera, and run Android 4.4.3. Hopefully Motorola will stick with the non-intrusive skin introduced with the Moto X last year, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see at least one new feature introduced to its near-stock Android UI. We won’t know anything for sure until Motorola makes an official announcement, but after today’s leak we’re guessing it won’t be much longer before the device is unveiled.
