We can’t wait to see Motorola’s follow-up to the Moto X, and a new leak today has us even more excited for the alleged Moto X+1. A fresh benchmark for a Motorola device with the model number XT1097 reveals the company’s plans for a super-fast smartphone.

According to Geekbench the upcoming Motorola smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm processor clocked at 2.46 GHz along with 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. While earlier reports claimed the Moto X+1 would sport a Snapdragon 800 the speeds recorded here suggest the company may opt for a Snapdragon 801 instead. With Motorola’s software prowess and a super fast processor, this thing should blaze. Then again, this could turn out to be Motorola’s rumored Moto Maxx phablet instead.

It’s been about a year since the Moto X was announced, and while Motorola’s flagship phone is still a solid device we’re definitely eager to see what the company has in store for us next. Besides the Moto X+1 there’s that rumored Maxx phablet to look forward to and of course the Moto 360. If Motorola can live up to the hype it may win the summer after all.
