We’re counting down the days until we get to see the Moto X later this week, but at Motorola’s Campus the festivities have already started. Silicon Valley icon and former Apple employee Guy Kawasaki was apparently invited to the party and, among a series of photos he uploaded to Google+, one picture reveals the Moto X in a color we haven’t seen before: insanely bright neon green.
At this point we’ve lost count of how many times the Moto X has surfaced, from leaked press photos to Google Chairman Eric Schmidt flaunting the handset in public, but until today we’d only seen black and white versions of the phone (save for a few outer shell leaks). Kawasaki’s photo appears to confirm Motorola’s promise that the phone will be customizable, though that may not extend beyond the device’s color and a personalized engraving.
The Moto X is expected to launch next month and come equipped with a 4.5-inch 720p display, a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and 2GB of RAM. The device will likely run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. TechnoBuffalo will attend Motorola’s official launch event on August 1 so stay tuned for our full coverage.
