Two new Moto devices are arriving at T-Mobile later this month.
Beginning on July 27, the Moto E5 Plus and the Moto E5 Play will be sold by the magenta-loving carrier. Both products have appeared in T-Mobile’s support database in advance of the release date. While you can’t purchase them yet, the online documents revealed some of what to expect.
If you purchase either phone from T-Mobile, you’ll get pretty much the same variants sold elsewhere. T-Mobile isn’t attaching any exterior branding. The only thing you’ll notice is a batch of pre-installed apps that don’t belong to Motorola or Google.
Both were introduced back in April alongside the new Moto G family.
The Moto E5 Plus and Play are also running Android 8.0 Oreo. The specific build number is OCP27.91-51, but that doesn’t really mean much.
When they go on sale this week, we’ll know about T-Mobile’s pricing. But these aren’t going to be expensive devices. Motorola created the Moto E series to unlock the true potential of budget-friendly hardware.
