The upcoming Nexus 5 is so close we can… taste it? Feel it, more like; either way you prefer, so many leaks are sprouting it’s difficult to ignore that, yes, the device exists. And, yes, it sports a soft-touch material and larger lens enclosure. Judging from these fresh images, it’s also quite thin (and awfully prone to fingerprints).

Over the weekend, we actually saw a full seven minutes of the device in action, and these latest photos show off much of what we already expected. Check out that vertical Nexus logo, and the wonderfully bezel-less display. The phone itself doesn’t look particularly large—somewhere in that Goldilocks zone (not too big, not too small); the best way I can describe it is that it looks like a grown up Nexus 4, continuing on with that more boxy look compared to many rounded devices out today.

Taking into account all the leaks we’ve seen over the last few months, it looks like the device is definitely running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box (notice the white notification bar icons), though we’re still not completely privy to what Google will introduce once the software is fully unveiled. Earlier rumors suggested Google would hold an event this week to unveil some new stuff, but there hasn’t been so much as a whisper out of Mountain View, so we’re not holding our breath.

Until we see an official unveiling, you can always get caught up on the many rumors we’ve heard, and what to expect when the device (and Android 4.4) is finally announced.
