Swiss watchmaker Mondaine is entering the smartwatch game with one of the prettiest wearables we've seen so far. It's called the Helvetica No 1 Horological Smartwatch, and it's a more traditional alternative to the Apple Watch and Android Wear.

Unlike the vast majority of smartwatches entering the market today, the Helvetica No 1 has an analog face that looks like any other watch. But a second dial, which sits just above the six o'clock position on its face, is what makes it smart.

The watch syncs with a companion smartphone app and lets you keep track of your activity and sleep patterns using MotionX and Sleeptracker technology. You can then keep an eye on your progress throughout the day via the smaller dial.

Without a digital display, the Helvetica No 1 does not provide apps, a caller ID, email notifications, or anything of that kind. But for those looking to track their steps and other activity throughout the day on what looks like a regular watch, it will be ideal.

Mondaine's first prototype, which has a brushed stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal display, will be showcased at Baselworld in March, before going on sale later this fall.
