Mike Myers is teaming up with Netflix to create a new series that will see the comedy legend star in his first major Hollywood vehicle in over a decade.

The unnamed comedy series will see Myers executive produce and star as multiple characters. The first season of the series will span six episodes.

"I love creating characters, and Netflix has given me a fantastic playground to play in," said Myers of the announcement.

Netflix has a reputation for luring in comedy legends and giving them free creative license. It's done so in the past with Jerry Seinfeld and Dave Chappelle, and now Myers has joined the mix.

The last time Myers led a project was in 2009's The Love Guru, which famously flopped, failing to catch on like his Wayne's World and Austin Powers personas. Since then, he's taken the backseat with minor roles in movies like Inglourious Basterds and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Netflix did not reveal when we can expect the new series to be available to stream, but we'll let you know when new details are revealed.
