Might No. 9, the Kickstarter creation from Keiji Inafune and Comcept, is really starting to come together. Today we have a brand new snippet of gameplay for the upcoming sidescroller, and it echoes so much of what we loved about Mega Man in a new tone.

We're still a long ways out from the final product, but hopefully Kickstarter Backers are liking the looks of the game so far. The new dash dodge, something I was completely unaware of, looks incredibly useful in tough boss fights.

That is, of course, assuming that this game packs tough boss fights. That's something I miss about the old Mega Man titles: those tough boss fights at the end of each stage used to completely ruin me. I loved them.

When Mighty No. 9 does finally release next year, it's set to drop for the Wii U, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So, like, everything.
