Microsoft is doing everything it can to encourage developers to create new Windows 10 apps, particularly since developers now have the tools to create apps that run on all Windows devices, whether it's desktop, a laptop, a tablet or a phone. The latest kit will make it easier for developers to add Facebook functionality into their apps.

The Windows SDK for Facebook will enable developers to build apps with Facebook login functionality, the ability to pull Facebook profile pictures and access a user's stories, Facebook feed and more. The login is probably the most important; it means you'll be able to download an app, lets say Pinterest for example, and login to your account without entering in a separate email or password. It's a function that's already been available on other platforms that have Facebook and Google login options.
