Microsoft is still rolling out updates for the first generation Microsoft Band, which recently gained support for tracking your golf game, but it’s also working on new models.

Speaking during the Worldwide Partner Conference on Wednesday, Microsoft chief operating officer Kevin Turner confirmed that Microsoft is building a second iteration of the Microsoft Band, though didn’t expand much beyond a single passing comment. Turner said Microsoft is “working on v2 and beyond,” according to WinBeta.

We don’t know what the Microsoft Band 2 will offer. It might have a completely new design, or might focus more on software enhancements. The current model is already capable of tracking steps, workouts, your heart rate and more — so Turner has definitely piqued our interest.
