Metroid Prime Federation Force

Many are still not convinced by Nintendo's latest entry in the Metroid franchise, Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Not to worry though, Producer Kensuke Tanabe fully expected the negativity towards the game, and he thinks you'll change your tune once you get your hands on it.

Speaking with CGMag Online, Tanabe claims that he can see people's opinions change as they play through it on their first try.

"What I see happening is once the players actually have hands-on experience with the game, they'll be able to understand and experience for themselves how the game actually feels and that the Metroid Prime universe atmosphere is there…

They'll definitely understand the different perspective that we're taking here and it'll certainly make a difference once you get some experience with the game."

Tanabe also reminds players that Samus does appear in this game, and that it might hint at the ending of Metroid Prime 3.

So there you have it. Nintendo has Metroid Prime: Federation Force in development, and it is sticking with it, no matter the size any petition gets. Tanabe says that he sees opinions change as people go deeper and deeper into their first hands-on with it, and he's gambling on whether yours will as well. Will you place a similar trust in him?

I'm not convinced that this is the Metroid game we've wanted all this time. I'm also not convinced that this is a cheap cash-in to make a quick buck. Nintendo doesn't roll like that, and Next Level Games is something of a savant studio that Nintendo has cultivated under its tutelage. I fully intend to give it a fair shot, and I hope others do to.

It's like what Bethesda said. It knew that fans would be upset if it announced Fallout Shelter before Fallout 4, and now Fallout Shelter is a hit! Would fans have given it the time of day if they didn't know Fallout 4 was in development? I highly doubt it.

Nintendo is in a similar situation. It just chose to go about it its own way as Nintendo always does, announcing the incoming Metroid Prime: Federation Force and saving that Metroid Prime 4 announcement for a later date.

What?! Everyone knows Retro Studios is working on it. Just relax. It will get here in due time.
