In the wake of the Tokyo Game Show, Konami has released a pile of screenshots for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. These shots cover the stuff talked about at the show, so a few of them seem to come from the recent trailer featuring Quiet, the deadly sniper that’s been teased a bit and stirred up her share of controversy based on her outfit.

The shots also feature Snake’s brand new, one-eyed pooch. The pup looks awesome, and I will totally lose my cool if it dies. Completely.

While I am a fan of the Metal Gear series, it’s always been one I’ve enjoyed years after release. These games hold up exceptionally well in my opinion, and I’ve always bargain bin-purchased them, and I’m waiting for Ground Zeroes to dip more before I personally dive in.

With that said, the look and feel of The Phantom Pain has me itching to nab this one on day one. That’s sort of crazy for me, but I fell in love with the game during our preview back at E3 this year. It’s been a train of excitement ever since.

I don’t know, maybe I’ll wait.

What are you looking to do when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain officially releases for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2015?
