Last week during E3, Eric and I had a chance to go behind closed doors and watch a lengthy gameplay presentation for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It wound up being one of our favorite demos for the show, and you can read our thoughts right here.
This morning, Konami got Hideo Kojima to host the demo over a livestream. That stream is over, and the demo can be found in the long presentation at the head of this post. I’ve embedded it starting at nearly the time the demo begins, but it starts at roughly the 50 minute mark.
The gameplay footage is awesome, and it’s exactly what we saw at E3. Enjoy it.
You’ll probably see pretty quickly why Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain wound up being one of the best things going at this year’s E3. Such a cool demo, and the Fulton Recovery System still cracks me up.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is slated to hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. A release date has not been given yet, so stay tuned for that.
