Still haven't gotten around to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance yet? Well, join the crowd because I haven't exactly either, and now is the absolute best time to do so with a gracious price drop and all the DLC free.
Konami has lowered the previous asking price from $39.99 down to $29.99 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. This stands true for both the digital game and the retail game which can be picked up at your local store.
Just because the game alone is not enough, Konami has also made all DLC packages for the game now available for free. More Raiden for everyone, slicing up the scenery, doing acrobatic stunts in the air, and lots of sloppily written melodrama. Oh Raiden…Kojima tries so hard to make you cool, doesn't he?
In all fairness, I never really gave Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance the time of day until Platinum Games came aboard to iron out the wrinkles in Konami's mish-mash of a hack n' slash game. The former squad of Capcom A-listers is the best action game developer in Japan for good reason.
Anybody looking to jump aboard this late in the game? A PC version is also just around the corner, but no official date has been set yet. I know I'll be eyeing a copy on one of the platforms in the coming months.
