Konami's Japanese PR arm put up a few brand new Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailers yesterday. Chief among them were the cinematic trailer (that's the one that sits above) and an extended gameplay trailer that focuses on weapons (find that one below).

While the cinematic trailer might look at least familiar to fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, know that the weapons trailer below does not. In case you haven't been following Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance all that closely, it's important to understand that Kojima Productions isn't helming the project.

Instead, Platinum Games have been given a shot with Raiden and this piece of fiction. Platinum is well known for action games like Bayonetta and Vanquish, which both give off the same fast combat vibe as the trailer you see below.

Be sure to ignore the February 21st release date that flashes at the end of each trailer unless you live in Japan or Australia. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on February 19th and Europe on February 22nd.
