Marvel Studios has tapped a writer from one of its rivals to pen a script for a mysterious Phase 4 MCU movie.
Wonder Woman 1984 writer Dave Callaham has reportedly joined the MCU to work on an untitled project, though details are scarce. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently focusing on a trio of projects coming out in 2019: Captain Marvel, Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Any talk of future projects beyond next year has been kept under wraps, but with news that Marvel has tapped Callaham to pen a mysterious movie, we know the studio is planning out its future roadmap.
Among the projects Callaham may work on is Doctor Strange 2 and Black Widow, which are two of the projects rumored to be coming out in 2020. However, those are just shots in the dark. It’s very likely Marvel Studios has other projects in the fold but it’s just keeping them under wraps until Avengers 4 comes out.
Callaham has strong resume to his name, working on projects that include The Expendables series, Doom, Godzilla, and Zombieland 2.
