It's pretty easy to get hit by a car while playing an open world game. Just a quick stroll into any street will put characters like Trevor, Michael, and Franklin of Grand Theft Auto V in harm's way. Getting hit by a car while playing Fallout 4 is even harder, especially when it's a real car and you're indoors.

Texas resident Ben Rose was the lucky winner in this bizarre probability on Sunday, though, when a Hyundai Sonata burst through his wall Kool-Aid Man style while he played Fallout 4 on his Xbox One, fracturing his vertebra and slicing his Achilles tendon.

"Cars versus people don't really end up well, so I really thought it was over," said Rose when recounting the incident for CBS Dallas/Fort Worth. Credit for his survival goes ot his gaming chair, Rose said.

"The chair is what saved me, without a doubt. That took the impact. It pushed me out of the way. It kept me from going under the car."

Police believe the uninsured driver meant to brake and accelerated instead. Rose is left paying the bills and lost wages himself. Friends have setup an online fundraiser, which you can contribute to if you want to help out a fellow vault dweller.
