A new report claims Apple is planning to announce fresh MacBook Air models later this month, though it may not be the 12-inch Retina display laptop we’ve been waiting for. Instead, the company will allegedly release upgraded versions of the current MacBook Air with new processors and boosted specs.

Czech site LetemSvetemApplem claims the new MacBooks will make use of Intel’s latest chips, which could mean faster speeds and better battery life, while also adding more RAM. The refreshed laptops will apparently get a quiet launch on Feb. 24, meaning Apple isn’t planning a big keynote event just yet. If you’re looking to buy a new laptop from Apple, it’s probably worth waiting a few more weeks for these, though even bigger MacBook Air news may not be too far off either.

Apple’s long-rumored 12-inch MacBook Air is expected to launch sometime this spring, with a Retina display and a reversible Type-C USB port. The new laptop may be announced during an event focused on the Apple Watch, which is set to ship in April.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for any and all MacBook news, though for now you can check out recent images of the rumored 12-inch laptop below.
