If you don't have a case for your iPad, you absolutely need one. We've seen (through the shenanigans of various YouTubers) what happens when you drop an iPad on a hard surface, and the results aren't pretty. The screen cracks, the back bruises, and the edges get badly injured. You can spring for the $39.99 case right from Apple, which provides a nice level of protection, or you can choose from a wide array of third party cases that are now available. The Macally Bookstand, which cost $49.99, stood out at me, because it's made to look like suede, is advertised as being lightweight and durable, and still allows the iPad to be propped up in various viewing angles. In this video, we unbox the Macally Bookstand. In about a week, I'll write an article on how the stand has served me.
