Logitech today unveiled its new K600 TV Keyboard that solves a problem faced by smart TVs.
Usually when you navigate through a smart TV and need to type passwords, you’re stuck with a clunky digital keyboard that you’re forced to clumsily navigate through with the TV’s remote. The new Logitech K600 TV Keyboard solves this annoying issues by offering a full keyboard, touch pad and D-pad.
The keyboard’s layout is similar to the K780’s design with the circular keys. It adds the touch pad and D-Pad on the right side and some controls on the left side such as home, back and search buttons that make navigating through a TV interface much easier. That along with its 15-meter wireless connection and 12-month battery life will let it seamlessly integrate into your TV layout without worrying about its connectivity or battery life.
As an added perk, Logitech included its Easy-Switch feature to easily switch between your smart TV and PC or mobile device (Android and iOS). Logitech says the K600 Keyboard is designed to work with most smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG and Philips, though you can check through the set-up site to confirm if it’s compatible with your TV.
The Logitech K600 TV Keyboard will be available for purchase in October and will retail for $79.99.
