Don’t count on getting your hands on the LG Watch Urbane 2 anytime soon, if at all. Although the wearable has already go on sale to AT&T customers, LG on Thursday announced that the device is being pulled due to a last-minute issue.

Up until this point, LG hadn’t indicated any problems existed, so it seemed like a rollout would occur without issue. But in a statement on Thursday, the company revealed there is a major hardware issue that affects day-to-day functionality.

“After further investigation, the decision was made to cancel the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE due to the complicated nature of the issue,” an LG statement reads.

But here’s the real kicker: LG says it doesn’t know if the device will ever be released.

“Whether the device will be available in the future will be decided at a later time,” the company said. “For now, our top priority is to ensure that only products that meet our very specific quality standards are available for purchase.”

If we’re being honest, it seemed odd that LG would release a watch with standalone calling capabilities in the first place, as smartwatches with similar features haven’t proven to be particularly popular in the past. We’ll keep our eyes peeled to see how this develops. Scratch this off your holiday shopping list for now.
