lg vu3

Fresh off the G2, the LG is gearing up to release the Vu 3, the latest addition to its series of mid-range phablets. We first reported on the device earlier this month, noting that it could feature a 5.2-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a Snapdragon 800 processor. Now, LG appears to have confirmed the Vu 3 on one of its microsites, teasing a new set of semi-transparent QuickView cases.

The LG Vu 3 is expected to come equipped with a 13-megapixel camera and support for South Korea's advanced LTE networks, suggesting its release may be limited to LG's home country. However, considering that the original VU launched on Verizon Wireless, it's possible we'll see this device in the U.S. as well. With its release rumored for October, the Vu 3 could be perfectly positioned as a budget-friendly choice for holiday shopping, though considering the device's high-end processor and camera we're not so sure it will be much cheaper than the G2.

There's sure to be plenty more Vu 3 leaks in the next few months as its alleged launch approaches, so stay tuned.
