LG has officially announced the Vu 3, and will launch is starting this Friday in Korea.

The Vu 3 doesn’t come as a huge surprise as LG’s own site gave away the upcoming phone last week when it published pictures of transparent covers for the new handset. The details released about the phone’s specs are sparse, but we do know it will be featuring a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear shooter, a 2.1MP camera upfront, a 5.2-inch display running at 1280×960 which gives it a 4:3 aspect ratio and Bluetooth 4.0. No word yet on other specs such as NFC or the exact dimensions of the device.

While the LG Vu 3 has only been announced for release in Korea so far, we won’t be too surprised to see it show up in other locations around the world in the not too distant future.
