AT&T this week announced it was taking a hard pass on the recently announced LG G7. But fear not, because the carrier revealed it will partner with the Korean company to release a new, as-of-yet unannounced device this summer.

Thanks to a leak from Android Headlines, that device may wind up being the LG V35 ThinQ. That’s not to be confused with the V30S ThinQ or last year’s V30. This will be a brand new device with a design similar to what we’ve seen from LG before, including a 6-inch OLED display, dual-camera setup, and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

For all you notch haters out there, you’ll be glad to learn the V35 ThinQ won’t feature a display notch, unlike the G7. It’s nice to see a device break away from the trend while still offering a display with minimal bezels.

Specs for the device have yet to be unveiled, but rumor has it the V35 ThinQ will be very similar to the G7. Which means we should expect a Snapdragon 845 processor, 3,000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, and two 16-megapixel sensors with LG’s advanced AI. Unlike the G7, however, it doesn’t appear the V35 ThinQ has a dedicated hardware button for Google Assistant.

The V35 ThinQ will allegedly be a precursor to an even more advanced V40 ThinQ scheduled for a release this fall. Although AT&T has said it’s releasing an exclusive device from LG this summer, the carrier didn’t provide any concrete details. But it’s looking like the V35 ThinQ is what AT&T was talking about.
