LG has caught wind of the rumors claiming that Samsung won't announce the Galaxy Note 8 at IFA and it looks like it's hoping to capitalize, as it has reportedly scheduled an event to take the wraps off the so-called V30 at the trade show.

A new report from ETNews claims that the V30 will sport an OLED screen with VR support, a Snapdragon 835 chipset, a new ESS Quad-DAC, a dual-camera on the rear and possibly even a dual-selfie shooter like the original V10.

LG may have learned a valuable lesson

If all of the information supplied by the publication is correct, we wouldn't be wrong in saying that LG has learned from at least one of the mistakes it made with the V20: pricing.

The V30 is expected to carry a price tag of $700 when it hits the shelves in September, which actually isn't a great deal to pay for a smartphone that's equipped with two displays and relatively impressive internals.
