LG continued to tease its upcoming LG V20 smartphone on Wednesday with new information that the company partnered with Bang & Olufsen for the phone’s audio experience.
LG said new LG V20 smartphones will ship with an included set of Bang & Olufsen headphones. A quick look at B&O’s site suggests they should be worth at least $150, the cheapest model I could find, unless Bang & Olufsen is developing a more affordable model for the LG V20. This is the second such partnership between the two companies.
LG and B&O teamed up on a Hi-Fi Plus module for the LG G5, an accessory that was never broadly available in the United States.
LG says V20 customers can expect a “premium sound experience they have never heard before. ” The 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC should help, too. LG will unveil the V20 during a press event on September 6.
