LG is confident its upcoming Optimus G is an Android handset capable of doing battle with the latest and greatest smartphones money can buy. And so it should be. In addition to a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the handset boasts LTE connectivity, a 4.7-inch display, and according to LG, the "world's best" smartphone camera.

Not only does the 13-megapixel shooter promise to take incredible images, with minimal noise and optimized color-matching — but it's also "ultra slim," which in turn allows the Optimus LG to be as thin as it can be.

LG is so proud of its camera that it has taken to YouTube to publish a video that boasts about its large diameter lens, "High Accuracy PKG" technology, voice-activated shutter, and more. You can watch it above.

Admittedly, the camera sounds pretty terrific, but as we all know, specifications are nothing without real-world results. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what the Optimus G is capable of when it makes its international debut later this year.
