We’ve spent a lot of time using LG’s newest televisions over the last week or so, and they are a delight. LG sent us two models to take a look at: the 65-inch EG9600 and the 55-inch EC9300. The latter is the same TV we have in the game room, so we were pretty familiar with it already. The other model, however, is a 4K monster. It’s thin, it’s fast, it runs webOS, and the picture is amazing.

I’ve been playing Destiny on it, so I’ve had a non-trivial amount of time in front of the display; even upscaled content looks good. On YouTube, there’s a bevy of 4K video, and while it’s not exactly stuff that you’ll watch on the daily, it does a wonderful job of showing off the high resolution display. Clips of tropical locations in hi-res make me long for the day that our gaming consoles output in 4K.

The lower end model retails for $1,999, while the 4K model is $6,999. Luckily, these TVs live up to the price tag. These really are some of the best TVs you can buy on the market.

LG sponsored this post and sent us two displays to test in the office.
