A big reason why we've been seeing so much of the LG Nexus 4 is because its release is a little more than two weeks away. At least, that's what a French newspaper claims. Apparently the handset is being prepared for a global Oct. 29 debut, with a possible unveiling at Dive Into Mobile in New York at the end of the month.

It's not entirely clear where Le Figaro got its info, but the report does merit some investigation. There has been a steady flow of information on the LG device for the past several weeks, and it finally seems like we're about to see an official unveiling. Once the device does come out of hiding, it'll likely be available via the Google Play store, which makes sense.

As the rumored Oct. 29 date nears, we'd expect more glittery information to turn up about the Nexus 4, hopefully giving us a clear idea of how it'll stack up against other supposed Nexus devices.
