LG this week unveiled new variants for its Gram laptops, including a beastly 14-inch model that promises 21 hours of battery life.
The Gram line has been LG’s attempt to showcase slim computers that don’t sacrifice on performance. It’s continuing the tradition with two new versions that it plans to showcase more at CES 2019 in a few weeks.
The first is a 17-inch variant that’s powered by an 8th generation Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has a gorgeous display with 2560 by 1600 resolution and a fingerprint scanner. It also features battery life of 19.5-hours.
Its smaller brother, the 14-inch 2-in-1 Gram laptop, adds a touch display with 1080p resolution. Powering it will be the same 8th generation Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage of its bigger brother. It also features the same 72Wh battery as the 17-inch variant, but given its more efficient display, its battery life shoots up to a robust 21 hours.
Each laptop will have a port array consisting of USB-A 3.1, USB-C, MicroSD slot, HDMI and headphone jack. The only difference is that the bigger model has three USB-A ports while the smaller only has two.
LG did not announce pricing for the 14-inch model but the 17-inch will start at $1,699.
