While anticipation grows for Samsung's Galaxy S10, LG is quietly gearing up to launch a new flagship of its own. Now, new details about LG's next device have leaked, giving us an idea of what to expect in just a few short months.
According to ET News, the LG G8 will feature a teardrop notch similar to the OnePlus 6T, with just enough space to house the device's front-facing camera. As far as notches go, the teardrop notch is hardly noticeable, and is a much better alternative to what Google introduced with the Pixel 3 XL.
The report also claims the G8 will feature a 3D camera system, though not many details are known about what it can do. LG phones typically have very strong cameras, so let's hope the 3D features are actually useful and not just gimmicks.
Additionally, the G8 isn't expected to come equipped with support for 5G. Instead, the Korean company is said to be planning a separate device with 5G connectivity. Perhaps we'll see the next device in LG's powerful V series feature 5G support.
LG is expected to announce the G8 as early as the end of March, so we should know more very soon.
