High-end phones don’t come in many colors, but LG’s done a decent job making sure consumers have choice. The G6 was released last year in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White, Terra Gold, and Marine Blue. Now the South Korean company is adding three more colors to choose from, albeit a year after the 2017 flagship debuted.
Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet, and Raspberry Rose are the newest colors for LG’s G6. Of course there’s a bunch of marketing fluff to pump each’s vibe. It’s actually so overdone to a humorous point.
Here’s how LG describes them:
“The sophisticated hue of Moroccan Blue was inspired by the beautiful blue buildings in the city of Chefchaouen, Morocco. The silvery, romantic shade of Lavender Violet was developed to appeal to both men and women who appreciate the finger things in life. Raspberry Rose offers a strong color saturation that is unique among current smartphones and was designed with anniversaries, graduation ceremonies and Valentine’s Day in mind.”
If that doesn’t make you pick up a G6, we’re not sure what will.
As for the Q6, LG’s budget-friendly alternative sees its total number of colors jump to seven. The latest colors joining the mix are Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet.
LG did the same with the V30. It launched a Raspberry Rose-colored model as well, and doing so makes sense considering the 2018 flagship has been delayed. Until the G7-that’s-not-named-the-G7 is official, LG has to keep pushing last year’s hardware. There’s no easier way to spark some interest than by using fresh coats of paint.
Better late than never, right? All of the new colors for both phones will finally be released in Korea sometime in February. LG hasn’t said if they’ll make their way to the United States, but the company did note “key markets worldwide” are getting them.
