LG managed to take on Samsung's Galaxy S5 head on with its flagship G3 earlier this year, and it looks like the company may have another device in the works to challenge the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 as well. A new commercial for the mid-range G3 Beat released this week offers a first glimpse at the upcoming and still unannounced LG G3 Stylus, which appears to pack a built-in stylus to match Samsung's popular S Pen.

With the LG G3 Stylus all but confirmed the big question is what kind of hardware the new smartphone will pack. The flagship G3 already offers some impressive specs, including a 5.5-inch 2k display, a 3000mAh battery, a 13-megapixel camera and a Snapdragon 801 processor, but the G3 Stylus may need a slight upgrade to compete against the Galaxy Note 4's rumored Snapdragon 805 CPU and 16-megapixel shooter. Then again, LG could opt for mid-range specs and a low-cost handset instead in an effort to undercut Samsung's upcoming phablet.

We're also waiting to hear how much the G3 Stylus will cost and when exactly it will hit the market, though LG may not make an official announcement until IFA in September where Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 4. For now, you can check out the full LG commercial below, which doesn't reveal much about the G3 Stylus but still manages to be pretty entertaining.
