TechnoBuffalo - Mobile Madness 2014 - Brackets - Set 2

Yesterday's pairing of the Sony Xperia Z2 vs. the BlackBerry Z30 resulted in a win by the Z30. The Z30 will advance on to the next round to go up against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Today's pairing will feature the LG G2 vs. the iPhone 5c.

The LG G2 was one of our favorite devices announced last year. It features one of the most gorgeous displays on the market, of course the odd button placement and use of the Knock feature made it one of the more intriguing devices of the year.

The iPhone 5s and 5c continue to sell well, though, most of the units sold are mainly iPhone 5s'. The iPhone 5c was reviewed well, and while not a flagship phone, it is still is a fine phone for most users. We particularly like its solid plastic encasing, and no-fuss, none-scuff finish.

Which device do you see winning this round? The LG G2 or the iPhone 5c? You decide.

iPhone 5c Review

The iPhone 5c is an easy device to write off. Essentially a repackaged iPhone 5, Apple's cheaper and more colorful handset ditches metal for plastic, subtlety for pop. If ever there was an Apple product that was designed to be seen, this would be it—and that's the point. Instead of chamfered space gray edges or lavish gold paint jobs, the iPhone 5c sports vibrant hues of blue, pink, green, yellow and white. The expanded palette is very reminiscent of Apple's own iPod lineup. Or, if it even matters, Nokia's Lumia family, which also proudly wears bright colors.

The LG G2 is undoubtedly the South Korean company's flagship smartphone. In an already crowded market you have to develop and make a device that stands out above the crowd. On paper the G2 ranks among the best, with a gorgeous 5.2-inch, 1920 x 1080 display, 2.26 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and a 3,000mAh battery. Does the device stand out amongst your iPhones, HTC Ones, Galaxy devices?

LG devices of the past fell flat of premier status, and weren't considered amongst top of the line devices. The G2, finally, bucks that trend and is a device that not only competes, but possibly beats the competition.
