Pretty soon, the Moto 360 won’t be the only good-looking Android Wear device in town. LG on Thursday said the G Watch R, the company’s G Watch follow up, will be available at retail stores in Europe in early November; North America, Asia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will follow soon after. In addition to retail availability, consumers in select markets will also be able to pick up the G Watch R directly through Google Play. The G Watch made its debut in South Korea on Oct. 14.

After making its debut at IFA, the G Watch R quickly shot to the top of the wearables must-have list, challenging the beloved Moto 360 for the crown as the most attractive smartwatch on the market. It looks even more like a traditional timepiece than the Moto 360 does, giving it broader appeal beyond the most die-hard tech fans. We got a brief look at the G Watch R in late September, and came away impressed with its design and overall form factor.

Incidentally, a big Android Wear update came out today, promising to make the platform even stronger for early adopters.

“While the original G Watch was designed to be a no-nonsense, pure Android Wear device, the G Watch R was developed with a more aesthetic eye,” said President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Dr. Jong-Seek Park.

The G Watch R features a 1.3-inch circular P-OLED display, 1.2GHz qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of internal memory, 512MB of RAM, 410mAh battery and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

LG didn’t reveal a final price, but we’ll likely catch wind of something as the release gets closer. The Moto 360 retails for $249.99, so we imagine the G Watch R will be priced competitively; anything more than that will probably doom it before it even has a chance.
