Just how deep is your Star Wars fandom? Do you love the franchise enough to build this new Millennium Falcon set from Lego? Before you answer that question, let me first tell you the detailed model features a mind-numbing 7,541 pieces. You’re going to need a lot of time to put this one together. Maybe take a few weeks off work to get yourself a head start.
Lego’s new Millennium Falcon set is the thing Star Wars fans dream about. If you’re going to collect anything from the Star Wars universe, this has to be at the top of your list. I mean, just look at how beautiful it is. Just be careful not to lose a piece—and don’t let any house guests go near it once it’s complete.
Featuring intricate exterior detailing, upper and lower quad laser cannons, landing legs, lowering boarding ramp, and a 4-minifigure cockpit with detachable canopy, LEGO’s new set is as detailed a replica as we’ve seen. And the cool part (or bad part, depending on your point of view) is you can put the entire thing together yourself.
The LEGO set is so detailed you can build it to look like the original Millennium Falcon seen in Episodes four through six, or as it appeared in The Force Awakens, rectangular sensor dish and all.
Once it’s built, the Millennium Falcon measures at 8 inches high, 33 inches long, and 22 inches wide. That’s enough space to make room for a highly detailed main hold, rear compartment, and gunner station. In all, you get nine minifigures, including Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, along with classic weapons, like Han’s blaster and Chewie’s bowcaster.
Hopefully, if you do put it together with a friend, their name isn’t Ned (that’s a Spider-Man: Homecoming joke).
LEGO said the newest set will be available beginning October 1 via Lego’s website and Lego retail stores.
