Earlier this year LG announced a third-generation of mid-range L Series smartphones meant to target consumers who aren't interested in paying extra for the latest flagship handset. The L SeriesIII includes L90, L70 and L40 devices, and now it looks like that lineup may get a fourth member with the L65 based on a newly-leaked press render.
News of the L65 comes to us from @evleaks, who has a pretty impeccable track record when it comes to leaking mobile devices. The new smartphone appears to sport a somewhat chunky plastic design and allegedly comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3-inch display, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a weaker front-facing shooter. Like the rest of the L SeriesIII family, the LG L65 will presumably ship running Android 4.4. KitKat.
The LG G65 fits in nicely with the rest of the new L Series, though the LG G2, G Pro 2 phablet and the upcoming G3 are still likely to be the company's biggest draws. If customers can't afford a high-end device LG hopes it can still snare them in with a mid-range model that still runs the latest version of Android.
