Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Director Hideo Kojima has some advice for players currently enjoying the game. He wants you to slow down with all those infiltration missions and take a walk back at Mother Base.

I was playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for a few hours yesterday. I’m not too far into the game. I’m reviewing other things, in this one is more of a pleasure play than anything else.

Anyways, I’m playing the game, having fun and then something happened that pushed it from just a fun experience to something I knew I’d adore. I opened the iDroid, popped over to the casette menu and realized that I could play all the tapes I’d been picking up on missions. I infilitrated a base while blasting “She Blinded Me With Science,” and it was incredible.

The game is full of these little moments. What I think Kojima is getting at with all these tweets is that it’s better to slow down and enjoy the title than blast through all the stealth missions.

He’s right, friends. Take a break. Have some fun.
