Kodak is probably still best known for making cameras, but the company just announced plans for a new Android smartphone set to launch early next month. The photography-focused handset will get an official unveiling at CES 2015 as part of the company's new lineup of mobile products.

Designed in partnership with manufacturer Bullit Group, Kodak's new smartphone promises a high-end experience that's easy to use even if you're not tech savvy. The Android device will also come with pre-installed software for taking, storing and printing photos, along with a unique user interface. However, there's no word on what kind of camera power it will actually pack.

"Kodak is one of the world's most recognizable brands. It is trusted by consumers as a marque of quality and innovation," said Bullitt Mobile CEO Oliver Schulte. "We've taken that heritage and used it to inspire a range of beautifully designed devices that will let users take great pictures and edit, share, store and print them in an instant."

We're looking forward to getting our hands on Kodak's new smartphone next month at CES. The company also says it has even more devices launching later in 2015, including a tablet and a connected camera, though for now we're curious to see what a Kodak-branded handset will look like.
